Getting Provisional License

(1) Complete drive's education course. Cert. OL237 or DL387.
(2) Pass the permit test, 46 questions. You must be 15 1/2.
(3) Complete 6 hours of the behind-the-wheel training. Cert. OL238.
(4) Complete training with your parents-50 hours.
(5) Pass the DMV administered license driving test. You must be 16.

License Restrictions

You must be accompanied by an adult driver whenever you drive between the hours of midnight and 5:00 am or if you transport people under age 20.

Exceptions

Medical or employment necessity.
School or school-authorized activity.
Immediate need of family member.
Emancipated minor.
